Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Aplico ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Aplico. Please read them carefully.

Aplico is an AI-powered resume tailoring tool. You submit your resume and a job posting; Aplico analyzes your fit against the role, identifies gaps, asks targeted questions to gather additional context, and generates a tailored resume. Output is delivered as downloadable PDF and Word (.docx) files.

Each successfully completed resume generation consumes one (1) credit. Credits must be purchased in advance.

Age requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to use Aplico. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

Account security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You must not share your account access with any other person.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately at support@aplico.io if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Account accuracy

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. Providing false information — including a false email address — may result in account suspension or termination.

How credits work

Aplico operates on a pre-purchase credit system. You purchase a bundle of credits, which are deducted from your balance when you successfully complete a resume generation. Credits are not consumed if a generation fails due to a technical error on our end.

Pricing

Current prices are shown at checkout. We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect credits you have already purchased.

Payment processing

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. We never store your payment card details.

Credits never expire

Purchased credits remain in your account indefinitely and do not expire, unless your account is deleted.

Refund policy

• Failed generations: If a resume generation fails due to a technical error on our end, the consumed credit is automatically refunded to your account.
• Purchased credit bundles: Credits are generally non-refundable once purchased. If you experience an issue, contact support@aplico.io and we will review it on a case-by-case basis.
• EU / EEA consumers: You have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase for unused credits, unless the service has been fully performed with your prior explicit consent to begin before the withdrawal period expires.

You agree to use Aplico only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Submit content you do not have the right to use (e.g., another person's resume without their authorization).
• Use Aplico to create fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading documents, or to misrepresent your qualifications to a prospective employer in a way that constitutes fraud under applicable law.
• Use automated tools, bots, crawlers, or scripts to access the Service at scale without prior written authorization from us.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract Aplico's underlying AI systems or code.
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect content or data from the Service for any purpose.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Circumvent any security or access control measures.
• Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice and without refund.

You retain ownership

You retain full ownership of your resume content, job posting text, interview answers, and any other content you submit to Aplico.

License to process

By submitting content to Aplico, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process that content for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you. This license ends when you delete the content or close your account.

No AI training use

We do not use your submitted content to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, including the models provided by Anthropic. Your resume and job data are used exclusively to generate your output.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring that the content you submit is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights.

Aplico's output is generated by an AI model and is subject to the following limitations:

• No guarantee of accuracy. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, hallucinations, or omissions. You must review all generated output carefully before using it.
• Not professional advice. Aplico's output does not constitute professional career counseling, legal advice, or any other form of regulated professional advice.
• No employment guarantee. We make no representation or warranty that using Aplico-generated resumes will result in interview callbacks, job offers, or any specific employment outcome.
• Your responsibility. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of any resume you submit to a prospective employer.

The Service — including its design, user interface, code, AI pipeline, and all content produced by Aplico (excluding your submitted content) — is owned by Aplico and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or otherwise exploit any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We do not warrant that AI-generated output will be accurate, complete, suitable for any particular purpose, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

Note for EU/EEA consumers: Statutory consumer rights under your local law apply in addition to and are not limited by these disclaimers.

Important — please read carefully

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, APLICO'S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO APLICO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

IN NO EVENT SHALL APLICO BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, OR COSTS OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Note for EU/EEA consumers: Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Aplico and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Service in violation of these Terms;
• Content you submit that infringes any third-party intellectual property or privacy rights; or
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

Termination by you

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@aplico.io. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days (except payment transaction records retained for legal compliance — see our Privacy Policy).

Termination by us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the Service poses a risk to other users or to the integrity of the Service. We will attempt to notify you by email where reasonably possible.

Effect of termination

• Your right to access and use the Service ends immediately upon termination.
• Unused credits are forfeited upon termination for cause (violation of these Terms).
• For terminations not caused by your violation, we will use reasonable efforts to refund unused credits.

These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict of law principles.

EU / EEA residents: Mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply in addition to these Terms and cannot be waived by this agreement. You may also bring a claim before the courts of your country of residence.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at support@aplico.io. We commit to making good-faith efforts to resolve disputes directly and promptly.

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our service, applicable law, or business practices. We will notify you of material changes at least 14 days before they take effect, by:

• Sending an email to your registered email address, and
• Displaying a prominent notice in the application.

Continued use of the Service after the new Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, you may close your account before the effective date.

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aplico regarding your use of the Service.
• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of that right or provision.
• Assignment. You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
